SUMMARY:Gifts in the Darkness - Yoni Egg Workshop for Women
DESCRIPTION:New life starts in the dark. Whether it is a seed in the ground\, a baby in the womb\, or Jesus in the tomb\, it starts in the dark. – Barbara Brown Taylor\, author of Learning to Walk in the Dark \n What is this workshop about?\nIn Gifts of the Darkness\, we’ll explore your birthright to the physical and emotional health benefits of the ancient yoni egg practice. For thousands of years\, women in the Taoist tradition have revered the gifts in yoni’s darkness with the yoni egg. This practice is gaining a wide resurgence among contemporary women–and with good reason! Yoni egg work has beautiful physical and emotional health benefits modern women crave. \nIn this dynamic workshop\, you’ll learn about the spiritual and emotional benefits of the yoni egg\, how to keep your egg hygienic\, how to insert and release the yoni egg\, how to wear the yoni egg safely (and when you shouldn’t wear it!)\, two powerful yoni egg exercises\, how to tone the pelvic floor safely\, how to listen to your own yoni wisdom\, and how to handle emotional trauma release. We’ll practice wearing our yoni eggs in a discrete and sacred ceremony\, and you’ll have time for reflection in the warm community of sisters. \nThere is only room for 10 women in this workshop\, so book your spot now! If you don’t have a yoni egg\, you can purchase a high-quality borosilicate egg with your reservation for $30. \n  \nSounds amazing! Tell me more. What does yoni mean?\nYoni\, a Sanskrit word literally translating to “sacred cave\,” means female genitalia\, including womb\, vulva\, vagina\, and ovaries. The word also carries a spiritual connotation and refers not just to the physical anatomy\, but to the heart and sentience of a woman’s mysterious sexuality. \nTaoist sexual health traditions teach the yoni is sacred and has much to offer a woman besides sexual pleasure. She has a direct connection to Divine Spirit\, to inner intuition and wisdom\, and yoni wisely holds trauma in safe keeping until the appropriate time to release it. Yoni represents the beginning and end of life with child-bearing and menstruation. She cycles alongside the earth’s seasons and the moon\, inextricably tying a woman to her natural wild nature. In referring to the female genitalia as yoni\, a woman affirms the spiritual and emotional nature of her sexuality. \n  \nThat’s beautiful. So\, what is a yoni egg?\nI’m glad you asked! The yoni egg is an oval-shaped crystal about the size of a chicken egg that can tone pelvic floor muscles\, increase sensitivity for more pleasurable intercourse\, improve blood flow to the vagina\, improve continence\, release emotional trauma\, open a woman to her innate wisdom and intuition\, and help a woman realize her natural connection to Divine Spirit. \nTraditional yoni eggs are made of gemsone such as jade\, rose quartz\, amethyst or obsidian. The problem with yoni eggs made of any gemstone is they are a challenge to keep hygienic because they may be porous\, meaning bacteria can become trapped in tiny crevices and giving you a nasty infection. This is especially true if the egg has drill holes to contain a removal string. (Removal strings aren’t needed to remove your yoni egg.) Cheaply made gemstone eggs may have fault lines that pose a shattering hazard to the wearer. Yeah\, yikes. \nThe eggs we’ll use in this workshop are updated versions of their predecessors\, made of pure\, non-porous\, unbreakable borosilicate glass. They are more economical\, easy to keep clean\, and safe to use! You can purchase your borosilicate egg when you reserve your spot. I’ll have it ready for you at the workshop. \n  \nWhy is it important to connect with my yoni?\nIt’s every woman’s birthright to be intimately acquainted and fully integrated with her wise and healing yoni. – Dakini Leah\, CTE\nIt’s your birthright to be connected to your yoni\, to be a whole and happy woman. \nHigh school health class–if you had it!–may have taught you about basic anatomy and menstruation\, but it did not teach you the vital connection and integration with your sexuality\, emotions\, and spirituality. Sadly\, most of us have learned about sex via whispers from our giggly\, uninformed friends or worse\, through pornography. Not only was this information anemic and inaccurate\, it was dangerous\, resulting in a spiritual and emotional poverty at the heart of so many women’s issues. \nOpening the gifts in yoni’s darkness affects the whole of a woman’s life\, not just what happens in bed. A strong connection to yoni means confidence\, creativity\, motivation\, and feeling warmly connected with friends and family. Without connection to her yoni\, a woman can feel a persistent loneliness\, lack of self-esteem\, a resentment around sex\, stuck in a rut\, a nagging sense of sadness\, and moody. \nYoni egg work\, then\, when it is done properly\, can be as important to self-care as a good eating plan\, appropriate exercise\, or a consistent spiritual regimen. Connection is a simple practice with the potential to contribute to life-changing benefits when engaged regularly. \n  \n  \nCan the yoni egg help me release sexual trauma?\nYes. \nThe CDC reports that over half of all women have experienced sexual violence in their lifetimes. It’s essential woman have powerful and effective rituals for releasing the sting and debilitating effects of sexual abuse. In addition to therapy and a healthy lifestyle\, yoni egg work is an important part of healing from sexual abuse. \nTrauma release isn’t as scary as it seems when done gently with yoni egg meditation in the warm support of sisterhood. When emotional trauma is cleared from the yoni\, confidence\, creativity\, and connection can flow naturally. \n  \nWhat exactly we will do in this workshop?\nIn this engaging and exciting workshop\, you’ll learn about the spiritual and emotional benefits of the yoni egg\, how to keep your egg hygienic\, how to insert and release the yoni egg\, how to wear the yoni egg safely (and when you shouldn’t wear it!)\, two powerful yoni egg exercises\, how to tone the pelvic floor safely\, how to listen to your own yoni wisdom\, and how to handle emotional trauma release. We’ll practice wearing our yoni eggs in a discrete and sacred ceremony honoring the coming of the dark time of year\, and you’ll have time for reflection in the warm community of sisters. \n  \nWill there be nudity?\nNo. The wearing and releasing of yoni eggs will be done discretely to ensure full privacy while enjoying the community of sisterhood. \n  \nThis workshop is for you if…\n\nYou desire to join with countless women throughout the centuries who have discovered the secrets of yoni egg work.\nYou are ready to claim your birthright as intimately connected and integrated with the gifts in yoni’s darkness.\nYou are hungry for that “something more” about your sexuality and spirituality.\nYou crave a deeper connection to Mother Nature’s rhythms as they relate to your own.\nYou long for the company of a like-minded and loving sisterhood.\n\n  \nI’ll be there! I have a yoni egg. Should I bring it?\nMaybe. If your egg is made of any type of gemstone\, such as jade or quartz\, it may not be safe to use. Gemstones may not be entirely non-porous\, meaning bacteria can be trapped in tiny crevices on the surface\, and that bacteria can end up in your yoni\, giving you a nasty infection. Gemstones can also contain fault lines that can weaken when soaked in boiling water\, and although it’s rare\, the egg could shatter while you’re wearing it. Serious injury to your vagina can result. Finally\, any egg that has drill holes is challenging to keep sanitized\, as the holes offer a surface for bacteria to grow. Bottom line? I don’t recommend any egg made of gemstone or that has drill holes is for yoni egg meditation. \nIf your yoni egg is pure borosilicate glass\, it is non-porous\, easy to keep hygienic\, and won’t shatter. If this is your yoni egg\, congratulations! Most definitely\, bring it with you! \nIf you need a yoni egg\, a safe borosilicate yoni egg is available for purchase when you reserve your spot. It will be waiting for you at the workshop! \n  \nWhat should I wear? What should I bring?\nWear yoga pants or a long\, flowing skirt you can sit comfortably in. Sarongs will be provided\, if needed. Bring your journal and a pen\, your borosilicate yoni egg if you have one\, and an item of spiritual significance to you to place on our shared altar. \n  \nWhat if I’m menstruating on October 28?\nYoni egg work is not recommended during menstruation or if you have an active yeast or bacterial infection. However\, you can still join us in the sisterhood! Come learn about yoni egg work. You can participate in the ritual without wearing your egg\, and then wear your egg another time when your yoni is ready.
