Pulling Back the Curtain: The Powerful Message This Woman Heard from Her Yoni

What Marcy hoped to hear

Marcy is a reiki therapist, a mother of three in her mid 50’s and a Christian. She heard about yoni egg work from another client of mine, and wanted to see if it would help her with three things. First, she deeply desired to release shame around sex she inherited from her mother. Second, she wanted to let go of trauma from a time in her life when she was having sex with men whom she felt used her. Finally, she wanted to see if she could reclaim her elusive orgasmic response. She wanted to do it all in the context of her understanding of Christianity.

I explained the yoni egg work could certainly start her on the path to realizing all those things, but it would take time, consistent use, and following up on any messages her Yoni offered her. She would also need to be brave: this work may reveal truths that may be challenging to face, and even more challenging to share with a husband. I recommended she have a therapist at the ready if she needed it.

Marcy understood, and so we began.

Over the course of 90 minutes, I guided Marcy through a 5-step yoni meditation. We invited God the Father and Jesus to be present. What her Yoni has to say astounded both of us!

There were a few obstacles to overcome first. Immediately, shame made an appearance. Having come from a religious upbringing, Marcy inherited a well-meaning but ultimately blasphemous understanding that her sexuality is something bad. As a reiki therapist, Marcy is aware that emotions are just energy, and energy can shift. She easily allowed the light to shine on the shadow of shame. What replaced it was something she did not expect: a sense of reverence, a sense of specialness that her Yoni was created by God and is actually the origin of life. Beautiful!

Her next obstacle was tightness, a defensiveness in her vaginal canal, a fear that she would be used and not loved for the daughter of God that she is. Marcy made a promise to her Yoni that she would never again allow it to be entered unless she had Yoni’s permission. This powerful declaration of protection was just what Yoni needed to hear, and the tightness melted away. 

The Astounding Message Marcy Heard

So loved, Yoni drew Marcy into a trance, where she could feel awareness of everywhere the egg was making contact with Yoni’s tissues. I guided her with imagery to connect her heart, her blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients to these areas of awareness. “Oh my!” Marcy cried out. “My Yoni has a message for me!”

“What is it?” I asked.

“Pleasure is GOOD,” she cried, understanding it from a place deep in her Yoni. This message was in direct contrast to years of Marcy’s upbringing. Finally, she was able to tap the deep shame and replace it with the sacred truth, that pleasure is sacred and a gift from God.

“Yes!” I answered. “It’s the highest form of yoga of all, to enjoy pleasure. We’re saying to God His creation is good. We are praising Him when we enjoy what He has created.”

“Oh my goodness, I never looked at it that way!” Marcy exclaimed.

“Oh my!” Marcy cried out. “My Yoni has a message for me!”
“What is it?” I asked.
“Pleasure is GOOD,” she cried.

What an astounding message Marcy’s Yoni had for her! What gorgeous, life-changing work this powerful daughter of God experienced!

Marcy knows now she can connect to Yoni and hear Her messages. She has also awakened more heart-connected sensation in her Yoni that will create more pleasure and heart-connection with her husband and with God. If she can maintain this awareness, she’ll perpetuate a journey into a deeper love than she has ever known possible.

There is still much work to be done to unravel years of embodying shame around sex. Reclaiming orgasm will take a lot of work. But I believe that is good work. It’s a journey with countless interesting points to explore.

After just one session Marcy is well on her way to the beautiful truth Tantra has for us: that sexuality is the sacred gateway to Oneness with our creator. This is the power of yoni egg work.
