Yoga for Lovers
February 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Yoga for Lovers will take you into deeper Oneness than you’ve ever known.
With an eclectic mix of ancient Tantric exercises and contemporary relationship wisdom, Yoga for Lovers will take you into deeper Oneness than you’ve ever known. No weird postures to hold. No previous yoga experience necessary. Just laughing, sizzle, and, of course, heavy breathing.
What is Yoga for Lovers?
Yoga for Lovers is Tantra. Tantra is an energy-based yoga, not exercise-based like traditional yoga. In this class you’ll learn about your energy centers, how they connect with your sacred sexual energy, and how to share your energy with your Beloved. The result is a mind/body/spirit connection not just to your Beloved, but to your understanding of the Divine.
Exercises are fully clothed and fit within everyone’s spiritual practice. You’ll receive instructions to take into your own semi-private space, so only you two can hear what you share with one another. Committed couples only!
Lovers are especially beloved in Tantric teachings. The workings of the Universe are portrayed as the loving relationship between Shiva (the Divine masculine) and Shakti (the Divine feminine). Tantra teaches meditative sexuality is the gateway to an intense spiritual experience. Many of these exercises for lovers can be learned and mastered fully clothed and then taken into the privacy of your bedroom for the ultimate in intimate connection.
Yoga for Lovers meets monthly, so be sure to join the LIT mailing list for details on the latest upcoming workshops.
What is Tantra?
The practice of Tantra is over 5,000 years old. It’s an eclectic mix of practices from around the world to step into Who You Really Are. The Shivaic tradition define Tantra as a lifestyle of following your desire in full self-awareness, with ful self-love, and no self judgement, Your desire, of course, is a reflection of your true self. When we are living our true selves in the world, we are naturally in sync with God/Divine/Universe, Who accepts us just as we are. The result is a passion-filled life, loving and being loved more deeply than we could imagine.
Isn’t Tantra All About Sex?
No. Tantra is about stepping into Who You Really Are. Expressing yourself sexually has a lot to do with that, though! There are plenty of sex Tantra practices (neo-Tantra) that help couples experience greater physical pleasure, open their hearts to each other, and experience God in the bedroom. Yoga for Lovers will teach you some of those basics techniques. For more explicit sex Tantra techniques, book Dakini Leah for a private session.
Is There Nudity in Yoga for Lovers?
Nope. All teachings are meditation and energy-based, and take place fully clothed. You and your Beloved will have a semi-private space where what you exchange will be just between you two.
What Will We Experience?
Yoga for Lovers begins with an opening circle where you’ll be able to introduce yourself and meet other like-minded couples. Then, the gentlemen are excused to set up your private temple space with blankets, bolsters, candles, roses, and chocolates while the ladies convene in the center for readiness exercises. (At the next event, we’ll switch who sets up the temple spaces.) You’ll be lead through some heart-opening exercises to warm up. Then, we’ll get into the erotic meditation exercises planned for the evening. These will be different at every Yoga for Lovers. Finally, you’ll spend time in a comforting cuddle-based nurturing pose with your Beloved.
