What is Womb Meditation?

Womb Meditation is a gentle Tantric meditation practice that invites women to connect with their deepest values and desires through breath, embodied awareness, visualization, strong emotion and gratitude. The connection recognizes that womb energy is creational potential. Physically, the womb gestates and births human life. Spiritual and emotionally, the womb represents gestation and birth of what’s most important to you.

Unlike goal-setting or New Year’s resolutions, this practice isn’t about checking off a to-do list. It’s about slowing down long enough to ask the questions that matter, and then aligning yourself with the answers.

What do I want to experience while I’m here?

Who am I becoming?

What relationships deserve my attention?

What legacy do I want to leave?

Research suggests that meditation can strengthen interoception—our awareness of internal bodily sensations—which supports emotional regulation, self-awareness, and wiser decision making. When visualization is combined with genuine emotion, it can also help align our everyday choices with the future we hope to create.

Each New Moon becomes an opportunity to plant one Sacred Intention—not as something to force into existence, but as a seed to lovingly tend throughout the coming month.

Why at the New Moon?

The new moon is traditionally considered a time of new beginnings, fresh starts, and planting seeds.

For women in midlife, aligning spiritual practices with the cosmic rhythms of nature remind us that, while our menstrual cycles may no longer reflect a consistent rhythm, we have the power to align ourselves with the higher rhythm of our natural world. We are no longer merely earthbound; we are also cosmic beings, more aligned to the eternal mystery than we could ever be in our child-bearing season.

What Happens During a Womb Meditation?

Every gathering follows a gentle, spacious rhythm.

🌑 Sacred Intention Ceremony

🌑 A short introduction to the intentional level theme of the month

🌑 Soothing breath practices to settle the nervous system

🌑 Guided Tantric Womb Meditation

🌑 Quiet journaling

🌑 Optional sharing circle

🌑 Closing blessing for the coming moon cycle

Between gatherings, you’ll simply live your life while gently noticing what unfolds. Many women notice increased awareness of opportunities for bringing their intention into reality.

At the following New Moon, we’ll gather again to reflect, celebrate, learn, and plant our next intention.

Little by little…

Month after month…

Your life begins reflecting your deepest values and desires.

What Women Are Discovering

“Just when a mother in labor gets to the darkest point, the most hopeless feeling of giving up, that’s usually when her baby begins crowning. Her midwife and doula are there to encourage her to keep going. That’s what women discover when they practice this form of meditation together: just when they feel like giving up, when they wonder if their life was wasted, or opportunity has passed them by, this conceptual practice, in the community of loving women, offers the creation energy and the focus required to give birth to one’s best life.” – Janet McGeever, co-author of Tantric Sex in Menopause, in conversation with Dakini Leah, June, 2025

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never meditated before. Can I still come?

Absolutely. Prior meditation experience is helpful but not required. I’ll guide you every step of the way, and I’ll also be offering a free Tantric Meditation Basics class for beginners.

Do I need to believe in manifestation?

Yes . . . and no. Reseach by Dr. Joe Dispenza suggests that whether we believe in manifestation or not, our thoughts, attitudes, and choices can either pigeonhole us into the status quo or free us to live more intentionally. using tools of intential living, like womb meditation, can become powerful allies in creating an intentional life.

Is this connected to any religion?

No.

Our practices are inspired by Tantra, mindfulness, and the wisdom of the lunar cycle while honoring women from every spiritual background.

Erotic wisdom isn’t measured by the number of sexual experiences you’ve had. It grows through curiosity, self-awareness, courage, and a willingness to know yourself more deeply.
